RASC News Agency: The Taliban embassy in Islamabad recently disclosed the liberation of approximately 3,000 containers containing commercial goods owned by Afghanistani traders, which had hitherto been impeded by Pakistan. In a communique shared via social media on the distinguished date of December 12th, the embassy expounded that the business attachés from their embassy in Islamabad and the consulate in Karachi convened with Maria Kazi, the luminary head of foreign trade at the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan. The Taliban embassy proclaimed that Pakistan has, in the present moment, sanctioned the release of the containers, and the Pakistani embassy in Islamabad has urged the Taliban to expeditiously relocate the erstwhile detained containers from Pakistan.
Per the intelligence conveyed by the Taliban embassy, Pakistani officials have affianced themselves to facilitate the transfer of said containers and have delineated a strategic blueprint, commencing with the relocation of 250 containers that docked at Karachi port on the auspicious date of October 3rd. It is germane to highlight that Pakistan had obstructed the transit of over 3,000 containers laden with goods destined for Afghanistan at the port of Karachi, asserting higher levies from the traders. This assertive measure, in tandem with the precarious economic milieu confronting the Afghanistani populace under Taliban governance, has precipitated substantial fiscal ramifications for these traders.
Crucially, the economic landscape of Afghanistan has witnessed precipitous deterioration since the ascendance of the Taliban to power. Unemployment and destitution have attained unprecedented levels, with the Taliban’s injudicious policies compounding the already dire circumstances. The interdiction of commercial containers by Pakistan has compounded the tribulations confronting the Afghanistani people, exacting a toll of millions of dollars in financial losses for the beleaguered traders.
