RASC News Agency: Residents of Bamyan have reported that patients with cleft lip and palate are receiving free treatment in the province. The treatment is being provided by a doctor named Abdul Ghafar Ghayor. This initiative began on November 13th and will continue until November 26th at the provincial hospital in Bamyan. According to information obtained from Bamyan Provincial Hospital, a total of 35 patients with cleft lip and palate have already been registered and will soon undergo treatment. Dr. Abdul Ghafar Ghayor explained that Bamyan, being a remote province, lacks specialists to treat these conditions. Many families are unable to afford treatment in Kabul or abroad, so he decided to provide free treatment in Bamyan.

The authorities and residents of Bamyan have expressed their satisfaction with Dr. Ghayor’s noble gesture as it will benefit a large number of patients. Governor Abdullah Sarhadi praised the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health and health officials in Bamyan, assuring that all children, teenagers, and young people in the province suffering from cleft lip and palate will receive free treatment at the provincial hospital. It is important to note that this is a significant step, considering the high number of children born with these conditions in various provinces of Afghanistan.

It is worth mentioning that citizens in remote areas of Afghanistan have long complained about the lack of well-equipped health centers and have called for urgent attention from the authorities. The initiative taken by Dr. Ghayor in Bamyan serves as a reminder of the pressing need for improved healthcare facilities and access to specialized treatments in these regions.
