RASC News Agency: “A Traffic incident Claims Five Lives, Including Three Brothers, in Kunduz Province In a somber turn of events, a fatal traffic incident unfolded in Kunduz province, claiming the lives of five individuals, three of whom were brothers residing in Kandahar.
As delineated in a communique issued by the Taliban’s leadership in Kunduz, the catastrophe occurred around 5:20 pm on Tuesday, April 16th, when a ‘4Runner’ vehicle, carrying five passengers, overturned in the Irgang area of Char Darah district. The Taliban’s dispatch indicated that in the aftermath of the crash, four individuals lost their lives, while another sustained injuries.
However, conflicting reports emerged from Kandahar province, stating that the casualties in this accident numbered five, including three brothers accompanied by their spouses. According to local accounts, the quintet was traveling from Kandahar city to the northern provinces for recreational purposes.
Recent days have seen a significant uptick in traffic incidents across various provinces of the country, as documented.
The Taliban’s Directorate of Public Traffic disclosed that during the four-day Eid al-Fitr holidays, the country witnessed 102 traffic incidents, resulting in the loss of 50 lives and injuring 185 others.”
