RASC: Sources from Ghazni province say that as a result of Taliban shot on the convoy of Muharram mourners in Noabad area of Ghazni city, one young man died and 10 others were injured.
This incident happened on Friday, July 28, when the Taliban group shot the convoy of Muharram mourners who were moving from Qala Shahada to the Now Abad from the sixth security district of Ghazni city.
The source added that the Taliban group’s direct shooting resulted in the injury of four children, and another source in civilians Hospital of Ghazni said that most of the victims were injured in the head and abdomen.
On the other hand, the services of the telecommunication networks were also cut off for several hours by this group in Ghazni city.
Disconnection of telecommunication networks has also been reported in other provinces, including Kabul and Balkh.
The local officials of the Taliban group in Ghazni province have not commented on the conflict with Muharram mourners.
In the video packages published on social media, it can be seen that the Taliban group violently dealt with groups of mourners on the day of Ashura in Kabul and fired aerial shots to disperse them.
It should be noted that the Taliban group imposed severe restrictions on mourners in the month of Muharram this year, prevented the installation of flags specific to the Muharram decade, and restricted the areas where Shiites celebrate this ceremony and warned against (Saqa Khanas).
It should be mentioned that this group had shot the convoy of Muharram mourners in the Hyderabad area of this province last year, which had resulted in the death of several youths.
