RASC News Agency: Zahir Shah, who used the deceptive Islamic title of (Al Mutawakal Ali Allah) which means (Trust in Allah) in a car with a gold plate on which the altar of the mosque and the pulpit were written in red color as a symbol of his adherence to Islam, spent his life in revelry and moral corruption. In this belief, he deprived Afghanistan of the world’s modern science and knowledge in forty years. If the people of this country, especially the Non-Pashtun ethnic groups, were aware through education and training that, the Pashtun tribe has dominated the Non-Pashtun ethnic groups for many years in the name of Islamic religion and values also if they knew “Afghan” the fake identity of the Non-Pashtun tribes was imposed on them; they would rise up and stand against him.
On the other hand, Zahir Shah, who belonged to the Barikzai tribe, was illiterate person and did not allow the level of knowledge and awareness of the people to be higher than he had.
Zahir Shah, who came to power at the age of 19 after the murder of his father, the traitor king of Afghanistan “Nadir Shah”, to continue the rule of the Pashtun tribes, considered the illiteracy of the Afghanistani people to be the survival of his hedonistic policies and the continuation of his tribal rule. Therefore, the country and its people were in darkness for forty years he kept absolute darkness and indulged himself in revelry and moral corruption. He did not build forty universities or hospitals in his forty years of rule, while people spent their time in the dark in the caves of the mountain, the King of Afghanistan built recreation centers for himself and reveled in every part of the country.
The king of the country, Zahir Shah, for the totalitarianism of the Pashtun tribes over other ethnic groups in the country and making them Pashtunism, did his best. At the beginning, he used the word Afghanistan, which was synonymous with the Pashtun tribe, in his constitution in 1964 with a new definition meaning all the people and citizens of the country. By the progress of the time, by instigation of Mohammad Gul Mohmand, then the government institution “Pashtu Toolana” changed the names of some of the historical cities and localities of the country, including Kabul, with Pashto names. In the Kabul city name of places Dehmazang changed to Barikot, Afshar to Spinkali and in Herat Sheghlan the historical name changed to Pashtun Zarghun, Sabzwar to Shindand and Qara Tapa to Toorghondi.
Zahir Shah, who was a weak person and drowned in revelries during his forty years of reign, sometimes went to Jalalabad garden and sometimes to Paghman garden for fun. Education was taken away from the country citizens, thousands of other citizens of the country did not have the food to eat, but the king did not know about the fate of these people, spent all his political life in revelry, hunting, listening to Indian classical music and other pleasant and enjoyable pastimes.
At the same time, the historians and cultural scholars of the country consider Zahir Shah as the ethnic monopolist of power and the period of his rule as one of the darkest periods in the history of Afghanistan. He did not have political and economic abilities; therefore, he did not have any national plan and thought for the progress and development of Afghanistan.
According to the history of Afghanistan, during the forty years of Zahir Shah’s rule, Afghanistan was completely isolated from the world and inside the country, the fascist King of Barikzai tribe, in addition to depriving the social classes from participating in the regime, put the power in the hands of his family, and they were the only ones who run the country.
During the reign of Zahir Shah, Afghanistan was deprived of social and cultural progress for 40 years, while other countries in the world reached the peak of progress and development during this period. While in Afghanistan under the forty-year rule of Zahir Shah, a television station was not brought, and in the field of agriculture, Afghanistan was dependent on the import of American and Canadian wheat, which even Afghanistan could not produce its own wheat.
Zahir Shah, who during his forty-year reign made the people of Afghanistan quiet and complacent in sheer hunger and global isolation in the name of social security. The people hunger; illiteracy and depriving from their basic rights were an ordinary order.
In the field of foreign policy, in the last twenty years of his reign, Zahir Shah has become one of the satellites of the former Soviet Union, and his army trained under the supervision of former Soviet advisers, the absolute majority of military students were from Pashtun tribes and certain provinces. He used to send their armies to the former Soviet Union and its satellites for training in various disciplines, and later the same Pashtun military students who were sent by Zahir Shah to the former Soviet Union for training had a prominent role in both coups, firstly on 17 July 1973 and in the second coup 1978. Which in the first coup they destroyed his 40-year reign, and in the second coup, killed his uncle and sister-in-law “Dawood” along with some of his family members.
