RASC News Agency: According to local sources in Panjshir province, recent clashes have occurred among Taliban members concerning the governance of the province. On Sunday, November 26th, it was reported that Mawlawi Dar Mirza, the governor, and Mullah Mustafa, the security commander of the Taliban group, engaged in an inter-group conflict in Dara district. The clash took place during the distribution of food aid, resulting in Mullah Mustafa’s injury.

The conflict arose when the security commander’s forces opposed the halt of Mawlawi Dar Mirza’s convoy at the aid distribution point on the roadside. This disagreement escalated into a clash between the two factions. Subsequently, the Taliban’s military unit in Panjshir province disarmed the forces of these respective local officials.

It is worth noting that inter-group conflicts among Taliban members have been prevalent in various provinces since their assumption of control over the country. These conflicts have, in some cases, led to casualties. For instance, in Farkhar district of Takhar province, one Taliban member was killed, and five others were injured due to an inter-group conflict. The conflict occurred between two Taliban factions of different ethnic origins, with one being Pashtun and the other Tajik, in Chaman Khosdeh, Farkhar district.

The internal discord among Taliban members has been an ongoing concern in the country, and this time it manifested itself in a clash during the distribution of humanitarian aid. Additionally, the local population has accused the Taliban group of misappropriating aid provided by international organizations and foreign nations.
