In this article, the discussion of political power reviewed, what is the understanding and perception of Tajik leaders about political power and maintaining political power. Political power is provided in two ways in human societies: through democracy and elections and through force and domination. In eastern governments from China to Russia, etc., power provided by force and domination, and these governments bypass democracy and real elections by conducting pseudo-elections, and the dominance of one person or one party in power is ensured. The Communist Party of China, Putin, Erdogan, etc. have bypassed the elections and secured their dominance.
Therefore, it is very difficult to achieve real democracy in Afghanistan, institutionalize power through elections and democracy in the society, and form a government. Pashtuns are against democracy and elections and want to conquer the field through violence and force and secure their ethnic power with domination and force. When the Pashtuns see that power is supposed to be transferred through democracy and elections, they fundamentally change the political system and take the government hand in hand with ethnic goals.
Furthermore, let’s not go away, Karzai and Ghani realized that the Pashtuns are losing in democracy and elections, they saved a few rounds for themselves by cheating and… finally they changed the system and handed over power to the Taliban in an ethnic deal. Although in democracy and elections, no group or ethnic group loses, because power transferred from one party to another without violence, and in a way, popular participation takes place in the formation of power, and people become influential in the formation of power, government and political system. Nevertheless, the Pashtun leaders, with their tribal and family attitude, consider the power and government to be their tribal and family possession, and with this attitude, they have taken the fate of the Pashtun people and the entire country hostage. If the Pashtun leaders do not want to share power with any nation or group, they do not consider any nation or group to be their partner in power and government formation, and they do not accept democracy and elections, then how will the Tajiks and other ethnic groups react to this attitude of the Pashtun leaders? Should they behave?
Before Islam, if we do not consider the ethnic relations of power in Khorasan/Afghanistan, but at the beginning of Islam, power in Khorasan belonged to the Tajiks. The Tahirians, Saffarians and Samanians were Tajiks. After these three families, power was shared between Turkic and Tajik families.
The Pashtun tribes came to Khorasan from the Sulaiman Mountains after the 10th century AH and moved in Khorasan as migrant tribes, but a large part of the Pashtun people remained in Pakistan, had an ethnic conflict with the Punjabis, were defeated by the Punjabis, and moved to Khorasan. Started their ethnic conflict with the tribes living in Khorasan, they were able to seize parts of Khorasan and take power from the Turks and Tajiks and massacre the Hazaras.
Nevertheless, with all the violence and aggression of the Pashtun leaders, it is interesting that the Tajik leaders expect democracy and elections from the Pashtun leaders and they want the Pashtun leaders to agree to transfer power through elections and democracy and form a government. Based on this, Tajik leaders or Tajiks in general have several mistakes:
At the first stage, they still do not have a detailed knowledge of the Pashtun leaders and the Pashtun domineering people; Secondly, in a traditional society like Afghanistan, they want to transfer power to democracy. On the other hand, they do not know that in traditional society, power should be maintained by force and domination.
As well as, the perception of Tajik leaders and Tajiks about power in Afghanistan is wrong, and this wrong understanding causes Tajiks to not be able to have power or be the main axis of power in Afghanistan. The Pashtun leaders cling to power with every excuse and opportunity, but the Tajiks surrender their power to the Pashtun leaders for the institutionalization of democracy and good will of patriotism and say that you are at the top and we and other ethnic groups are ready to work with you and let us to live.
At the main time, as soon as the Pashtun leaders surrendered their power, they killed the Tajik leaders one after the other. Why and how were Dawood Dawood, Seyeedkhilli, Professor Burhanuddin Rabbani and… killed?
From that time, twelve years have passed since the martyrdom of Master Burhanuddin Rabbani. In fact, this article is not inappropriate to the testimony of professor Rabbani and unrelated to the non-violent transfer of power by him to Karzai. In the Bonn meeting, the negotiating side of the countries of the world was the Northern Front, which was headed by Professor Burhanuddin Rabbani, and the countries of the world wanted to reach an agreement with this front. Nevertheless, the Tajiks presented a Pashtun before presenting a Tajik. Although a number of Tajiks in that meeting did not agree that a Pashtun should be at the head of power, Fahim and a number of Panjshir Tajiks made a deal with Karzai. These people actually have a snake up their sleeve. This snake once turned into a dragon, swallowed a number of Tajik leaders and let others flee, until it abandoned democracy, elections and the feeling of patriotism and surrendered Afghanistan to its Taliban people.
Let’s think deeply, we always criticize Pashtun leaders, while the Pashtun leaders have a clear position. Therefore, criticizing and expecting Pashtun leaders is a mistake. Furthermore, if we are going to criticize, we should criticize ourselves and our leaders that is the Tajik leaders, who do not have a correct understanding of power in Afghanistan. Whenever they have managed to gain power with great difficulty and by losing thousands of lives, they have been deceived by Pashtun leaders, and for the institutionalization of democracy and the sense of patriotism has transferred the power to the Pashtun leaders, but the Pashtun leaders interpreted democracy and elections as blasphemy and called Tajiks, Hazaras and Uzbeks immigrants. The Pashtun leaders have clung to power with claws and teeth, they have seized the lands of Tajiks, Hazaras and Uzbeks and they have violated Tajik, Hazara and Uzbek people.
Finally, the result of patriotism and transfer of power to Pashtun leaders is that they occupy our lands, invade us, and relocate Pakistani Pashtuns in our lands. As soon as the Pashtun leaders took power, they became sharp-toothed wolves; they thought of us as sheep and showed no mercy to us. Therefore, the friendship of the Tajik, Uzbek and Hazara peoples with the leaders of the Pashtun people has actually been a friendship with sharp-toothed wolves.
