RASC News Agency: In the Qaisar district of Faryab province, an incident involving the suicide of a 13-year-old girl occurred. Local sources reported on Wednesday, November 8th that the girl took her own life in the village of “Arzalik” after having a heated argument with her older sister and mother. The family discovered her lifeless body nearly three hours later, while the Taliban officials in the province have remained silent on the matter. This event adds to the growing number of suicide cases in Faryab province, with this being the second incident in the past ten days.

The suicide of this young girl highlights the pressing issue of suicide in the region. Just ten days prior, a 16-year-old boy also ended his life in the Garziwan district due to domestic violence. It is important to note that factors such as domestic violence, economic problems, and mental illnesses contribute to these outcomes. Experts suggest that implementing mental health programs, providing education for young individuals, raising awareness within families, and improving working conditions can play a significant role in preventing and reducing suicide rates in the country.

Addressing the rising number of suicide incidents requires a comprehensive approach that tackles the underlying causes. By focusing on mental health programs, education, awareness, and working conditions, it is possible to make a positive impact and save lives. It is crucial for local officials and organizations to prioritize these efforts and work towards creating a supportive environment that promotes mental well-being and provides the necessary resources for individuals in need. Only through collective action can we hope to prevent further tragedies, such as the suicide of this 13-year-old girl in Faryab province.
