The National Council of Resistance to Save Afghanistan has said that Zalmi Khalilzad and several others are purifying the Taliban group. This council also asked the US House of Representatives to “interrogate” Khalilzad.
In the statement of this council, it is stated: “The mistakes he committed against Afghanistan and its people, which caused a group supporting terrorism to dominate our country, have been recognized as misconduct and actions against human rights through judicial institutions, and he has been punished.”
The National Council of Resistance to Save Afghanistan has also considered the signing of the Doha Agreement signed by Zalmi Khalilzad with the Taliban on February 29, 2020 as a “big mistake” that has put the fate of millions of Afghanistanis on a disastrous path.
The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan consists of former jihadi leaders, political parties and officials of the former Afghanistan government, which was formed in exile.
Zalmi Khalilzad, the former representative of the United States of America for the peace of Afghanistan, on the eve of the second year of the Taliban group’s control over Afghanistan, asked the opposition leaders of the Taliban group to “go to Kabul” and talk with the Taliban group.
In a part of his speech, Khalilzad said that if the leaders of the Taliban group are under the impression that America will attack the Taliban group again and deploy its forces to protect them, they are wrong and that period is over.
The recent statements of Zalmi Khalilzad have provoked a wave of reactions among the political spectrum of Afghanistan. Amrullah Saleh, the former vice president of Afghanistan, and the Islamic Jamiat Party of Afghanistan have reacted strongly to Khalilzad’s statements.
