RASC: In continuation of the public punishment of those accused of various crimes by the Taliban group, the supreme court of the Taliban group has announced that a court in Maidan Wardak province flogged three people for the crime of running away from home.
This court said that it has executed Ta’ziri punishment on these three people, including two men and one woman, who were accused of running away from home.
On Monday, July 10, this institution published a statement saying that the sentence was executed on the accused five days ago at Ghazi Amanullah Khan Sport Stadium in the center of Maidan Wardak province.
In an announcement, it is said that these people were punished after three trial sessions in public.
Based on the declaration of this institution, the officials of the group and ordinary citizens were present at the execution ceremony of this sentence.
Also, Abdul Karim Haqqani, the general director of the Kandahar Provincial Arbitration Court, said that the execution of the sentence on the convicts can be a teaching tool for others, and the Taliban group will punish every criminal.
It should be mentioned that before this, ta’ziri punishment was imposed due to running away from home, theft, illicit relations and drinking alcohol in different regions of the country.
It should be noted that the officials of the Supreme Court of the Taliban group have already announced the implementation of (Hudud) and (Qisas) and said that they have issued more than 170 (Qisas) verdicts all over Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the punishment in court, especially the execution of people for various crimes, has faced the reactions of the United Nations and asked the Taliban group to end this process as soon as possible.
It should be noted that this group committed war crimes in Panjshir with extra-legal tortures and executions, according to Amnesty International’s report.
