RASC: A number of citizens are complaining about the ever-increasing price of flight tickets in the country.
According to a report by Tolo News, Juma Khan, a resident of Kabul, said that: “People have a weak economy; the price of tickets are also very high, the price of these tickets are changing every moment, because the only company that has a regular return process. It’s Kam Air and other companies don’t have round trips, that’s why the rates are so high.”
Mohammad Yasin, another resident of Kabul, says: “It’s been a long time since I’ve been coming here to get tickets and I’ve seen a significant increase in the price of tickets compared to the past.”
Accepting the increase in the price of tickets, a number of ticket sellers have said that the price of tickets for flights to some countries has increased three times compared to last year. They say that the process of stopping foreign flights and increasing the price of flight tickets has also affected their business.
Ehsanullah, Ticket seller, said: “The prices will increase from 400 dollars to 425 and 454 dollars, in the same way, the last price of the Kabul-Dubai ticket will reach up to 1000 dollars per person.”
Tayeb, another Ticket seller, said: “Foreign planes don’t come here at all, visas are blocked, embassies are closed, and the fact that the planes ticket are currently Kam Air and Ariana, their flight prices are very high.”
Meanwhile, a number of aviation companies say that the price of flight tickets has increased due to the high price of oil in the country.
Rahmatullah Agha, the head of Ariana Aviation Company, said: “The price of oil has become three times more expensive since the time of the republic, the price of “handling” has increased all over the world and the costs have increased, , it used to be registered and we don’t have a registration. The world is being registered, but we are not benefiting from it.”
The officials of the Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation of the Taliban have not said anything about the increase in the price of tickets.
