RASC: The female foreign ministers of France, Germany, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, Mongolia and South Africa have called for the immediate cancellation of the restrictions imposed by the Taliban group on women in Afghanistan.

In a meeting in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, these ministers criticized the restrictions on women by the Taliban and demanded an end to the restrictions on the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan as soon as possible.

By publishing a declaration, they have said that they want the Taliban group to give Afghanistani women and girls the right to full, equal, meaningful and safe participation in the society.

The announcement also states that we ask all countries and international organizations to use their influence against the repressive policies of the Taliban group in Afghanistan.

In a joint statement of the female foreign ministers of six countries, it is stated: “We demand the full, equal, meaningful and safe participation of women and girls in Afghanistan, we ask the Taliban group to quickly stop the policies and measures that limits the benefits of women and girls from human rights and it limits their basic freedoms.”

It should be noted that the female foreign ministers of France, Germany, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, Mongolia and South Africa were held for two days (29 and 30 of June.

This is despite the fact that after the Taliban took control of the country, this group banned work and education for Afghanistnai women and girls. This action of the Taliban was accompanied by internal and external reactions, but this group has not shown any flexibility.
