RASC News Agency: In a troubling continuation of suicide incidents, local sources from Kunar province report the death of a young man in the area. Sources informed the media on Saturday, June 8, that the individual, named Noorullah, took his own life in Asadabad, the capital of Kunar province, the previous day.

According to sources, Noorullah, a student at Syed Jamaluddin Afghan University, threw himself into a river, and his body has yet to be found. Originally from Helmand province, Noorullah had moved to Kunar for his studies. The reasons for his suicide remain unclear, and the Taliban have not provided any explanation regarding the incident.

Recently, suicide rates among citizens, particularly among youth, women, and girls, have significantly increased across various provinces for multiple reasons. In the most recent incident, a 21-year-old named Mohammad Arif committed suicide in Herat province last night due to economic difficulties.

Since the Taliban’s takeover of the country, economic hardships, unemployment, and domestic violence have escalated among the population.
