RASC: Protesting women who have launched movements for peace and freedom criticize the policies of the international community in their interaction with the Taliban group in a protest.
The members of this movement said in a video tape on Tuesday, May 23, that nearly two years have passed since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, and women are still imprisoned in their homes and there has been no change in their situation.
Stating that women as half of the Afghanistan population have been removed from the society, this movement emphasizes that the not so serious position of the international community has caused the Taliban group to act “more violently and heinously” than in the past.
According to the members of this movement, continuing silence and paying ransom to the Taliban group is not only against the principles of freedom, justice, democracy and international laws, but also burying Afghanistani women alive.
These protesting women say: “We ask the international community and the United Nations to end the secret deals with the Taliban group and to avoid continuing to send millions of dollars in aid to human rights violators and known criminals.”
These protests against the policy of the international community against the Taliban group are taking place while this group has not complied with any of the world’s requests in the field of human rights and the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan since the beginning of their domination of the country.
