Taliban’s new orders on women and girls in Takhar

Recently, in the last two or three days, the administration for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice of the Taliban in Takhar province issued a verbal order through the security areas and mosques to ban the movement of women and girls in order to enter the city and prepare for Eid.
In this notification, all women and girls were told verbally that if women and girls are present in the city, Trustees of the administration for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice of the Taliban will deal with them.

The women and girls of Takhari call this notification of the Taliban in Takhar the continuation of anti-women policies and add that they will not be indifferent to this practice.

Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, the Taliban has imposed serious orders against women and girls, including banning girls from education in schools and universities, banning them from working in government and non-government offices, and recently banning women from entering cities.

However, despite the prohibition announcements by the Taliban, the women have named resistance as one of the principles of their struggle and have not failed against the Taliban’s decisions.
