RASC News Agency: A number of residents of Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan are complaining about the increase in criminal incidents.
Murder, theft and looting of people’s property are taking place in Kabul and a number of other provinces while members of the Taliban group have a large presence on the roads and security areas.
Pacha Khan Mubarez, a resident of Kabul’s 12th security district, says that a thief stole his car from his house a few days ago.
A resident of Kandahar province, who does not want to be named, says: “Thieves even enter houses, they forcefully take weapons or money, or take property from the house, or take cars and motorcycles.” In the past week, I have faced several incidents like this; thieves either entered the shop or the pharmacy or took their money by force.”
Gul Rahim, a resident of Nangarhar province, also described several incidents of theft as follows: “One person went to the traffic management to register his car; when he went out again, his car was gone and the thieves had taken his car.
Similarly, in the 8th district of Behsud, one day a student was going to the university early in the morning when thieves threatened him with a gun and took his computer, mobile phone and money. “Also, three days ago in a village called Farid Abad, a thief entered a mosque and took away the loudspeaker, bottles and all the other things that were inside the mosque.”
According to the information of the Ministry of Interior under the administration of the Taliban group, this week 10 incidents of theft, 9 murders and 4 kidnappings have occurred in the provinces of Herat, Kapisa, Kandahar, Balkh, Kabul, Badghis, Sare-Pol, Khost and Paktika.
The level of criminal incidents has increased in different provinces of Afghanistan, while according to the people, after the Taliban regained control, the level of unemployment and poverty has increased, along with the incidents of theft and kidnapping.
