Taliban Relocating TTP Members to Ghazni

RASC News Agency: Credible sources report that ahead of Ishaq Dar’s visit, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, to Kabul, the Taliban administration plans to relocate Pakistani Taliban (TTP) members to a camp in Ghazni province. Sources within both the Afghanistani Taliban and Pakistani Taliban informed the media on Thursday, July 11, that TTP members are set to be relocated to a camp in Ghazni province.

According to these sources, the camp comprises houses originally built for refugees deported from Pakistan. It is said that Islamabad’s primary demand from the Afghanistani Taliban is to contain the Pakistani militants. However, sources emphasized that TTP members are not confident about this relocation and express concerns over potential Pakistani airstrikes on the camp.

The sources further added that if pressure for the relocation intensifies, some TTP members might return to Pakistan. This news comes as Ishaq Dar announced on Tuesday that he would soon visit Kabul, although he did not provide specific details about the timing of his visit. It is worth noting that Pakistan has recently launched a new military operation, named “Operation Azm-i-Muqami,” to combat insurgents, including the TTP.

The Taliban have yet to comment on the objectives of the Pakistani Foreign Minister’s visit to Kabul. However, according to sources, one significant development is the establishment of two camps in Ghazni province for TTP members, aimed at minimizing the group’s activities. It is important to note that over the past three years, the TTP has claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks in Pakistan, and Pakistani officials have repeatedly stated that insecurity in their country has increased since the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.
