Fourth Vienna Meeting to Proceed Without Female Representatives

RASC News Agency: The fourth round of the Vienna meeting, involving anti-Taliban political and military groups, is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Austria. Set to convene on Monday, June 24, just ahead of the third Doha meeting, the Vienna meeting will include six political parties, military groups, and 22 civil and human rights activists. The event will be held in Vienna, the capital of Austria.

Participants will include anti-Taliban factions such as the National Resistance Council, Afghanistan Freedom Front, National Resistance Front, Islamic Movement Party, Islamic Society Party, and Islamic Unity Party. They will deliberate on a specific agenda regarding Afghanistan’s future. The meeting’s agenda encompasses Afghanistan’s political outlook, human rights, terrorism, economy, and international relations.

The outcomes of this three-day meeting will be announced in a press conference. Previously, three other rounds of the Vienna meeting have taken place in Austria. This meeting occurs as the Taliban are set to participate in the third Doha meeting on Afghanistan, an event organized by the United Nations. Anti-Taliban factions have condemned this participation.

The Doha meeting, scheduled for June 30 and July 1, has faced severe criticism for excluding female representatives and Afghanistan political groups. It has been reported that women’s education will not be discussed, and the agenda items have been shared with the Taliban, who have agreed to them.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, confirmed that Taliban representatives have been invited and will attend the Doha meeting. He added that the meeting’s agenda was shared with the Taliban, who subsequently gave their approval.
