RASC News Agency: In the ongoing surge of criminal activities, including acts of violence, across various provinces of the country, sources from Farah Province have reported the gruesome beheading of a woman in the vicinity of this province. Sources from Farah Province briefed the media on Saturday, January 20, revealing that this horrifying incident unfolded last night in the village of “Dar Abad,” situated in the central part of the province. According to these sources, the victim, approximately 42 years old, is believed to have been beheaded by her own sons.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the murder of this woman remain unclear, with local Taliban authorities in Farah Province providing no information on the matter. This incident occurs at a time when, in the aftermath of the Taliban assuming control over the country, the incidence of violence against women has surged, leaving victims without the essential legal, judicial, and prosecutorial support, thereby denying them access to justice.

Reports suggest that, throughout their more than two years of governance, the Taliban has systematically stripped Afghanistani women of their fundamental rights, marking a deliberate exclusion of this segment from society. While the Taliban’s actions against women have prompted widespread condemnation, the group contends that it has safeguarded women’s rights—an assertion vehemently refuted by human rights activists.
