RASC News Agency: On November 13th, Nasir Ahmad Faiq, the representative of Afghanistan at the United Nations, expressed his disapproval of ethnic provocation, separatism, and divisive debates following the public release of the National Congress Party poll results. Mr. Faiq emphasized that every Afghanistani citizen has the right to exercise their civil and political rights when it comes to choosing Afghanistan’s political system. He firmly condemned any attempts to incite ethnic and separatist discussions, stating that such actions are against the country’s best interests and will only lead to further political crises within society.
It is worth noting that Mr. Faiq had previously criticized the ethnic and linguistic policies of the Taliban group. He denounced the use of ethnic provocation, linguistic biases, and minority prejudices by certain politicians over the past two decades, describing them as tools employed to support foreign interests and personal or group gains. In response, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban group, stated in an interview with Amu TV that the majority of the group’s members are Pashtons, reflecting the fact that Pashtons make up the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan.
The National Congress Party’s poll results, which revealed the preferences of the Afghanistan people regarding the country’s political system, were released to the media on November 12th. The majority of participants expressed support for a “Federal Republic” and the partitioning of the country. Despite this, Mr. Faiq’s statement emphasized the importance of avoiding ethnic provocation, divisive debates, and separatism, as they undermine the unity and stability of Afghanistan.
