RASC News Agency: In continuation of the myriad restrictions imposed on Afghanistani citizens in Iran, the recent employment of Afghanistani nationals within a 3-kilometer radius of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza is considered unauthorized and a violation under any circumstances. Mohsen Sayadi, the Director of Inspection and Oversight of Guilds in Khorasan Razavi, asserted on Sunday, January 14, that “the employment of foreign nationals within the 3-kilometer radius of the sanctuary of Imam Reza is unauthorized and is deemed a violation.”

Mr. Sayadi, in reference to the supervision of guild units around the shrine of Imam Reza, articulated, “Through intensified joint inspections and oversight by the Guilds Chamber, government penalties, facilities administration, labor administration, and immigration administration, 10 guild units within the 3-kilometer radius of the sacred sanctuary of Imam Reza have been sealed.”

The Director of Inspection and Oversight of Guilds in Khorasan Razavi further added that in these intensified inspections, which have heightened since the beginning of the month of January, over 500 guild units have undergone inspection, resulting in the initiation of more than 70 punitive proceedings against these guild units.

He underscored that the primary violations of these guild units have been the non-compliance with guild system laws and regulations, including the unauthorized employment of Afghanistani nationals. This occurs at a time when, in recent months, Afghanistani migrants in neighboring countries, including Iran, have encountered numerous challenges, instigating significant concerns among the Afghanistani migrant population.
