RASC News Agency: In the latest update on the prevalent armed robberies across various provinces in the country, the Taliban’s security forces have announced the arrest of seven individuals on theft charges in Kabul province. The Kabul Police Command’s press office released a statement on Thursday, December 28th, confirming the identification, arrest, and subsequent transfer of these individuals to prison from the 17th district of Kabul. Kabul Security’s press office also shared that these individuals are implicated in multiple cases involving the theft of cars and household appliances within the city.
Furthermore, the press release highlights that one of the stolen vehicles was recovered from the apprehended suspects. This development comes amidst a surge in armed robberies witnessed in different provinces of the country over the past few months, causing significant concern among the citizens. Notably, some citizens have criticized the Taliban group, attributing their involvement in these robberies—a claim consistently denied by the group. Despite the Taliban’s assertions of collecting illegal weapons from the public, the increasing reports of robberies and armed killings indicate their failure to ensure the safety and security of the people.
Contrary to the statements made by the citizens, the Taliban group seizes, tortures, and detains civilians, while their own group members, accused of various criminal activities, are released without facing trial in their own courts. This biased behavior poses a hazardous challenge to the country and significantly heightens the level of security threats.
