RASC News Agency: The officials of the Taliban group in Nangarhar province have announced the distribution of humanitarian aid, in the form of food supplies, to over two thousand needy families. These charitable efforts have been facilitated by international organizations.
Qismatullah Mujahid, the leader of Rehabilitation and Development in rural areas for the Taliban group in Nangarhar province, revealed on October 23, that a total of 2,956 destitute families residing in the districts of Dur Baba, Batikot, and Nazian have received the crucial assistance. He further emphasized that the aid comprised essential items such as flour, rice, oil, nutritional supplements for children, and other necessary materials specifically designed for the wellbeing of these families.
However, recipients of this humanitarian support have expressed dissatisfaction, deeming the allocated supplies insufficient to meet their needs. They have urged officials to undertake substantial measures to effectively address their current economic hardships.
In a parallel development, the Head of Rehabilitation and Development for the Taliban group in Herat province confirmed that 601 families struggling in the Zawul district had received food supplies on the previous day. This assistance, provided by UNICEF, encompassed provisions of flour, oil, beans, salt, and food specifically designated for children.
This revelation emerges amidst the acknowledgment from various aid organizations that, with the onset of winter, numerous families within Afghanistan are grappling with the inability to adequately fulfill their basic livelihood requirements. Consequently, they are confronted with severe challenges in this regard.
Nevertheless, reports indicate that due to the restrictions imposed by the Taliban group on the operations of international aid organizations, there has been a noticeable decline in the amount of humanitarian assistance provided to the Afghanistani people.
