RASC News Agency: In the pursuit of determining a deadline set by the Pakistani government for the expulsion of illegal immigrants, Pakistani media outlets have announced the establishment of a visa verification system for Afghanistani travelers to Pakistan. This development comes as the deadline quickly approaches, marking the imminent end of this crucial period.
The Federal Investigation Agency of Pakistan recently reported the implementation of a visa verification system at the Torkham border, aimed at preventing the illegal entry of Afghanistani into Pakistan. Yashar Arafat, a spokesperson for the agency, shared that this newly established system not only facilitates the smooth movement of Afghanistani nationals with valid legal documents into Pakistan, but also serves as a powerful tool in combating human trafficking through the Torkham border.
Arafat emphasized the existence of an organized group of human traffickers involved in transporting undocumented Afghanistani nationals into Pakistan, creating significant security threats for the country. With the installation of this advanced system, the employees of the Pakistan Immigration Office will be enabled to scrutinize and identify counterfeit travel documents, effectively preventing the entry of individuals through illegal means.
Meanwhile, as the Pakistani government’s deadline for the expulsion of illegal refugees approaches, over 60,000 illegal Afghanistani migrants have already returned to their home country from Pakistan. It is noteworthy to mention that the Pakistani government has expressed concerns about terrorist threats and the involvement of Afghanistani citizens in recent attacks within Pakistani cities. Consequently, they have granted illegal immigrants a deadline until November 1st to vacate the country.
