RASC News Agency: The Deputy Minister of Information and Culture of the Taliban Group said that the leader of the group will issue a decree on intellectual reform for the youth in the next few days.
Taliban leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada is expected to announce “a comprehensive national strategy for the intellectual and economic development of young people” in the near future, Mohammad Yunus Sadiq said.
Mullah Hebatullah’s order to reform the minds of the youth will soon be made public, an official of the Taliban’s Ministry for Information and Culture said in a statement on the national TV controlled by the group.
It has been said that the details of this plan will be presented by the leader of the Taliban group in a press conference.
Despite this, the Taliban has been clamping down on social activities of citizens, particularly women and young people, for two years since it assumed power.
According to the group’s officials, the youth mindset in Afghanistan has been shaped by western ideas for the past two decades and this group aims to change the youth mindset.
It is important to note that while this group was issuing harsh and oppressive laws on the lives of the youth and increasing the rate of unemployment, a huge number of young people fled the country.
They also have strict education policies, prohibiting girls over the age of six from attending school, and have altered the educational system in numerous ways in the name of sharia implementation.
