RASC News Agency: Local sources in Kabul province have reported an explosion in the city. The incident occurred at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 11th, near the Abu Muslim Khorasani mosque, at the intersection of the new 500-family project in Kabul. The exact cause and the extent of casualties resulting from the explosion have not been reported yet. It is worth mentioning that this is the second explosion to have taken place in Kabul this week.

No statement has been issued by the Taliban group regarding this explosion. However, reports indicate that on Saturday of the same week, an explosion occurred in a Coaster-type car at the Qala-e-Nazer station in the western part of Kabul. This incident resulted in the deaths and injuries of at least 10 individuals. The Khorasan branch of the ISIS group, which has recently intensified its attacks and operations in various provinces of the country, claimed responsibility for that explosion.

Simultaneously, amidst the Taliban’s persistent claims of maintaining national security within the country, there have been contradicting reports emerging regarding the surge in anti-security attacks across various provinces. These explosions continue to transpire, shedding light on the discrepancy between the Taliban’s assertions and ground reality.

In the most recent incident, the city of Herat was also subjected to an explosion. As a consequence, ten individuals were injured and subsequently transported to the regional hospital of this province, as confirmed by medical professionals. It is worth mentioning that the Taliban’s police force has stated that the explosion targeted their own vehicle. However, sources indicate that the intended victims of this detonation were Hazara girl students residing in Darb Khosh within the same province.
