According to the sources, today, Thursday, August 3, the Taliban group has stopped the broadcasts of (Hamisha Bahar) Radio and Television, yesterday, and today, the broadcasts of Radio (Nan) in Nangarhar province.
According to the officials of these media, the Taliban group has blocked all three media without providing any satisfactory reason.
Sources have said that the problem started when (Hamisha Bahar) TV and Radio had organized a journalistic training course for a number of young people, including nine girls.
During this training course, the Taliban group attacked the building of (Hamisha Bahar) Radio and Television and beat up the employees of this department.
The spokespersons of the Taliban group and the officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture of this group have not said anything about closing these three media in Nangarhar province.
Meanwhile, organizations supporting journalists have asked the international community, especially the United Nations, to stop the Taliban group’s restrictions on freedom of expression.
It should be noted that, with the dominance of the Taliban group, restrictions against media publications have increased every day, and now freedom of expression in the country has been completely stifled.
