RASC News Agency: Local sources in Kapisa Province report that unidentified gunmen have attacked a Taliban patrol in the region. Sources informed the media on Friday, June 14, that the attack occurred on Wednesday night in the village of Panahkhel, part of the first district of Kohistan.
According to the sources, at least one Taliban member, identified as Mullah Zahoor from Dehdanakhel village in Kapisa Province, was killed in the attack. The sources added that several other Taliban members were injured, although the exact number remains unclear.
The Taliban have not yet commented on this incident. It is worth noting that Taliban members have previously been targeted in various provinces. While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, the National Resistance Front and the Freedom Front have an active presence in Kapisa and occasionally carry out attacks against Taliban members.
This report of insecurity comes despite the Taliban’s frequent assertions that nationwide security is maintained and that the lives and property of the people are protected.
