RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front asserts that its forces launched an assault on a Taliban outpost in the city of Charikar, the central hub of Parwan Province, resulting in the demise of four members of the group, including one of their commanders. According to a statement disseminated by the Afghanistan Freedom Front on the social media platform X, this operational strike occurred on Sunday evening, February 11th, targeting the Taliban’s second security district headquarters in Charikar. Besides the fatalities of four Taliban members, three others were reported wounded.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front alleges that Taliban members stationed at this outpost were harassing and intimidating civilians under the pretext of house inspections. Earlier reports from various sources to the media indicated that the deputy head of the Taliban’s second security district was killed in the aftermath of this explosion. Local Taliban authorities in Parwan Province have yet to comment on this assault by the opposing forces.
Meanwhile, there has been a surge in attacks by anti-Taliban fronts, including the Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front, against the positions and members of the group across different provinces of the country. In a separate incident, the National Resistance Front had previously claimed that its forces assaulted a Taliban outpost in the “Ghond Sahib-ul-Haq” area, near the district of Bagram in Parwan Province, resulting in the fatalities of two members of the group and injuries to three others.
