RASC News Agency: In relation to traffic incidents occurring across various provinces in the country, recent reports indicate three separate incidents in Logar and Faryab provinces. According to information disclosed to the media on November 23rd, these incidents have resulted in the loss of three lives and injuries to 12 individuals. The initial two incidents occurred on Wednesday and Tuesday of this week along the Kabul-Gardiz highway, specifically in the “Altamur” and “Khazar” areas on the outskirts of Pol-e-Alam city, the center of Logar province. According to sources, these incidents claimed the lives of two individuals and left eight others with severe injuries.
Furthermore, Mawlawi Shamsullah Mohammadi, the head of information and culture in Faryab, reported that a collision between a Corolla car and a Land Cruiser car took place on November 22nd in the “Al-Malik” area on the road leading to Almar district. As a result, one person lost their life in this incident, while four others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention. Despite continuous coverage of traffic incidents in various provinces, it is reported that recurring casualties result from these incidents. It is crucial to acknowledge that negligence on the part of drivers, road conditions, excessive speeding, and the absence of proper traffic signs are among the primary factors contributing to these accidents.
Efforts must be made to address this escalating issue of traffic accidents by raising awareness about road safety, enforcing traffic laws effectively, improving road infrastructure, and ensuring that construction standards are upheld. Only through collective action can we hope to reduce the occurrence of these incidents and protect the lives of our fellow citizens.
