RASC News Agency: Four fishermen have been arrested by the security forces of the Taliban group in Daikundi province for fishing in the vicinity of the province’s center. Mohammad Ibrahim Sharifi, the head of environmental protection for the Taliban group in Daikundi province, announced the arrest of these four illegal fish hunters on Tuesday, November 14th. The forces of the first security area of Nili City, the province’s center, caught them while fishing in coordination with this directorate.
The head of environmental protection for the Taliban group in Daikundi province stated that 1000 fish caught in the net were released back into the water, and nearly 100 more fish were sold by court order. These four individuals were arrested by the security forces of this group on Friday, November 10th, and currently, their cases have been submitted to the judicial institutions of the Taliban group.
Continuous droughts and indiscriminate hunting by hunters have posed a threat to the extinction of fish in the rivers of Daikundi province. Despite the fact that hunting wildlife is prohibited throughout the country by the decree of the Taliban group, the danger of fish extinction in the rivers of Daikundi province still persists.
It is important to note that the forces of the Taliban have detained and tortured Afghanistani citizens in different provinces under various pretexts since they took control of the country. Furthermore, published reports indicate that a young man died in Kabul province as a result of the torture inflicted by Taliban forces.
