RASC News Agency: In continuation of the Taliban group’s harsh policies and restrictions imposed on the populace, the leader of the Taliban faction in Faryab province has announced a ban on the renting of cameras and music players within local communities. Reports indicate that the Department of Amr Bil Maruf, operating under the Taliban’s jurisdiction in Faryab, has officially prohibited the rental of video cameras and music players. A communiqué issued in Maimana, the regional center of Faryab, forcefully emphasizes that filming and music establishments are henceforth prohibited from leasing such devices to wedding venues for recording and musical purposes. The directorate sternly warns that violation of this ban will result in the confiscation of the offending equipment.
It is imperative to emphasize that the Taliban group has imposed a multitude of stringent restrictions on people throughout various provinces across the country, including the absolute prohibition of music. This extremist faction consistently subjects young individuals to torture and physical abuse in different regions for simply deriving pleasure from a song. Such oppressive measures have generated an atmosphere riddled with fear and suppression, severely curtailing fundamental liberties and cultural expressions.
The recent prohibition on renting cameras and music players serves as a vivid testament to the Taliban’s repressive regime, relentlessly tightening its grip on the ordinary lives of the populace. By curtailing accessibility to these devices, the Taliban aims to exert control and suppress any form of artistic expression or cultural activity that they perceive as inappropriate or contrary to their narrow interpretation of Islamic law. This latest restriction only adds to the extensive catalogue of limitations enforced by the Taliban, further corroding the rights and freedoms of the Afghanistani people.
