RASC News Agency: According to a report from Bakhtar News Agency, the Taliban group initiated the deployment of security camera systems in various sections of Khost City on Sunday, October 22. Mohammad Sabir Sabiri, the director of the Taliban’s police crime-fighting division in Khost province, stated that these surveillance cameras will assist in monitoring and apprehending individuals involved in criminal activities. The report further indicates that these cameras will be strategically placed at the entry points of Khost City and in areas with significant pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Furthermore, the Taliban’s recent announcement about installing 60,000 security cameras in Kabul to enhance security has generated widespread attention. However, this move has also triggered reactions from international organizations and citizens alike. Amnesty International has strongly criticized this decision, denouncing it as a comprehensive system of surveillance and monitoring of Afghanistani citizens.
It is worth noting that the Taliban faction has adopted innovative techniques and unscrupulous tactics that infringe upon the fundamental liberties of the populace, aiming to further their political agenda and tighten their control over the community, thereby emulating practices seen in neighboring nations.
Furthermore, the Taliban has firmly opposed the appeals and demands made by citizens and international communities, forging ahead with their own agenda. They have made it clear that they reject any external interference in the country’s internal affairs.
