Four Children Died while Swimming in Zabul Province

RASC: The health officials of the Taliban group in Zabul province say that four children drowned and died while swimming in the water in Shahjoy district of this province.

Mirwais Afghan, head of public health of the Taliban group in Zabul, said that these children drowned in two separate incidents in “Chino” and “Kalakhil” areas of Shahjoy districts on Thursday, June 29.

He went on to say that the first incident happened in Chino area where three children died and another child was injured.


According to him, the second incident took place in “Kalakhil” area, as a result of which a child drowned in the water and died. Four other children were injured in this incident.

The head of public health of the Taliban group in Zabul province added that the condition of the injured children is serious and they are currently being treated in the hospital.

Nothing is said about the age of the children.

He asked families not to allow their children to swim in deep and cold water to prevent such incidents. Because swimming in Afghanistan rivers got casualties from citizens, which dozens of the people lose their lives.
