RASC News Agency: In response to the escalating deportation of Afghanistani immigrants by neighboring countries, Ahmad Wahidi, the Iranian Interior Minister, has highlighted the crucial importance of identifying and expelling undocumented immigrants from our nation. On October 18, he emphatically stressed that the Iranian government exclusively provides assistance to immigrants who possess valid legal documentation within our territorial boundaries.
According to the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA), the Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic conveyed these remarks during a high-level meeting of the Iranian government.
Further emphasizing the country’s commitment to supporting immigrants, the Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic underscored that comprehensive assistance and access to education for their children have been extended to immigrants. However, some concerns have been raised by Iranian citizens regarding the presence of immigrants within the nation.

It is essential to note that the Islamic Republic has previously declared that only immigrants possessing legal documentation are permitted to reside and conduct activities within its borders, in accordance with established policies.
Meanwhile, the government of Pakistan recently announced its intention to deport immigrants lacking proper documentation, which has triggered a significant wave of reactions.

It is worth mentioning that the number of migrations to neighboring countries, particularly Iran and Pakistan, has witnessed a substantial increase in the wake of decades-long conflict and the Taliban’s control over Afghanistan.
Nevertheless, the deportation of immigrants from these countries poses serious threats to those who fled Afghanistan out of fear of the Taliban group.
Furthermore, international organizations and legal institutions have consistently urged Pakistan to reconsider its decision to deport undocumented immigrants.
