RASC News Agency: International organizations and Afghanistani citizens residing in Pakistan have expressed deep concern regarding the escalating pressure being exerted by the Pakistani government on Afghanistani refugees. This pressing issue has attracted significant attention due to recent developments.

Reports have emerged indicating that the Pakistani police, acting on government instructions, have mandated the eviction of Afghanistani refugees from their homes. It is an alarming development that infringes upon the basic rights of these vulnerable individuals.

Adding to the distress, the Pakistani government has issued a warning to Afghanistani immigrants working in hotels and shops, demanding that they terminate their employment and return to Afghanistan. This measures exacerbates the already grave situation faced by Afghanistani migrants in Pakistan.

In response to these distressing events, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organization for Migration have both issued urgent appeals to Pakistan, calling upon the nation to extend support to the vulnerable Afghanistani migrants. These respected organizations stress that forcibly deporting Afghanistani immigrants violates their fundamental human rights, and urge Pakistan to reconsider its decision.

In a baffling move, Pakistani official Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has defended the government’s stance on the deportation of Afghanistani refugees, asserting that this measure is an unyielding policy. This stance has elicited widespread condemnation from various international organizations, demanding that Pakistan reevaluate its expulsion of Afghanistani refugees.

Pakistan had previously announced the expulsion of illegal asylum seekers from the country, citing allegations of Afghanistani citizens’ involvement in recent military attacks against Pakistani forces. However, it is imperative to note that the refugees themselves harbor serious concerns regarding their potential return to Afghanistan. They fear the imminent threat of imprisonment, torture, and even death due to their past affiliations with the republican regime and international organizations. Their apprehensions are rooted in the belief that their backgrounds make them susceptible targets for persecution. As such, it is paramount that their claims are thoroughly examined, and appropriate measures are taken to ensure their safety and protection.

The gravity of this situation demands immediate attention from the international community. Collaborative efforts must be undertaken to seek a just and humane solution for these individuals who are desperately seeking asylum. It is incumbent upon the global community to acknowledge their plight and work together to alleviate their suffering.
