RASC News Agency: The U.S. House of Representatives has recently passed a resolution criticizing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. This resolution, which condemns the two leaders, was approved with the support of ten Democrats and all Republicans. Within the resolution, Biden, Harris, and other officials are criticized for their failures during the withdrawal process from Afghanistan and held accountable for the deaths of 13 American servicemen in the Kabul airport bombing.
The resolution accuses Biden and Harris of evading responsibility, attributing their negligence to the fatalities of these 13 soldiers during the chaotic evacuation at Kabul airport. Recently, the House Foreign Affairs Committee accused Secretary of State Antony Blinken of disrespecting Congress by failing to appear at a hearing concerning Afghanistan. Michael McCaul, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, stated: “Three years ago, the world witnessed one of the most devastating political catastrophes in American history. The Biden and Harris administration recklessly withdrew all American forces from Afghanistan without a plan.”
He noted that as a result of the Kabul airport bombing during the withdrawal, 13 American soldiers and over 170 Afghanistani civilians lost their lives, while 45 American soldiers sustained injuries. Nevertheless, some Democrats have characterized the passage of the resolution against Biden and Harris as a political maneuver in anticipation of the upcoming presidential elections.
