RASC News Agency: Local sources in Sar-e-Pol province have confirmed the involvement of the Taliban group in the egregious theft of personal belongings in the Sancharak district. On October 24, under the cover of darkness, the Taliban unlawfully infiltrated the residences of the “Farashqan” village, proceeding to ruthlessly plunder the possessions of its unsuspecting inhabitants.

According to reliable sources, distressed locals initially sought solace by approaching Mullah Abdul Manan, the district’s governor, to voice their grievances regarding the brazen actions of the Taliban members. To their dismay, they soon discovered that the governor himself was complicit in supporting the group’s illicit activities, particularly their despicable theft of personal property.

Reportedly, the governor of the Taliban group in this district has assured the fearful residents of their safety and the sanctity of their dignity, urging them not to anguish over their material possessions. However, insiders reveal that the group, with the governor’s connivance, has been repeatedly involved in perpetrating property theft in the village of “Farashqan” for several months, causing immense distress among the population.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmadullah Azimi, a resident of the “Farashqan” village, voiced deep concerns over the prevailing state of insecurity and the alarming frequency of robberies committed by the Taliban group in the area. Dr. Azimi emphasized that the local populace has grown weary and disheartened by the incessant occurrence of these incidents, which have left them in perpetual fear.

Furthermore, according to Dr. Azimi, numerous individuals daringly sought help and assistance from the security institutions of the Taliban group within the province, only to face physical assault and brutality at the hands of its members.

Contrary to previous reports that described the Taliban members visiting villages under the pretense of seeking worshippers and demanding a portion of the agricultural produce from the district’s residents, the reality on the ground evidently exposes the group’s malicious motives, as they engage in rampant theft and oppressive actions against the innocent inhabitants.
