RASC News Agency: Local officials of the Taliban group in Takhar province say that a middle-aged woman and a 34-year-old man died and another person was injured in a traffic accident in “Namakab” district of this province.

Mobeen Safi, the spokesman of the Taliban security command in Takhar province, said that the incident happened around 7:30 am on Saturday, September 23, in the village of “Sarkan” in Namakab district.

He added that this accident was caused by the deviation of a “pickup” type car from the road and it fell into the “Five River”.

The damage and narrowness of the roads in “Namakab” district of Takhar province is one of the main causes of traffic accidents and overturning of vehicles called “Five River”.

There have been reports of cars deviating from the road and falling into Five River.

Meanwhile, sources have said that 14 people died and four others were injured in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway.

Sources in Nangarhar province say that this incident happened around one o’clock in the morning on Sunday, September 24 in “Suritika” area of Surubi district of Kabul province.

According to the sources, two “Corolla” type cars, one “Prado” type car and a truck trailer collided with each other.

It should be noted that traffic incidents in the country kill dozens of people and leave dozens injured and disabled every year. The lack of standard roads, the carelessness of drivers and not observing driving principles are considered to be the main reasons for the occurrence of traffic accidents in the country.
