RASC News Agency: The Ministry of Information and Culture of the Taliban group has announced that it is evaluating the activities of the media affiliated to the parties in the country.
Khairullah Khairkhawa, Acting Minister of Information and Culture of the Taliban group, on Tuesday, September 19, emphasized that he is going to evaluate the activities of the media led by the parties.
Mr. Khairkhawa raised this issue in the first media violation meeting, which was held behind closed doors without the presence of any journalists.
Khairkhawa said that no media in the country is allowed to publish content that contradicts Islamic Sharia, national and cultural interests.
The Acting Minister of Information and Culture of the Taliban group added that they have decided to separate the media that seek to use and the media that work for the interests of the country.
Mr. Khairkhawa said that he will introduce the media that are working against the national and cultural interests of Afghanistan to the court.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Information and Culture of the Taliban accused some media of publishing and broadcasting baseless news and said that these media are looking for issues that will create division in the society.
On the other hand, a number of other members of this commission have said that they will seriously investigate the cases of journalists and media.
This is despite the fact that the Taliban group imposed severe restrictions on the activities of journalists and media since they took control of the country.
At the same time, it should be mentioned that a large number of video, print and audio media in the country are affiliated with political parties.
