RASC News Agency: Local sources in Kandahar province say that an army officer of the former regime was killed “mysteriously” in this province.
Sources have told the media that this former soldier was named “Khalil Ahmad” and he was killed on Thursday night (September 14) in “Ainu Mina” area of Kandahar city.
According to the sources, this former soldier was first tortured and then killed by a knife.
However, the exact motive and perpetrators of Khalil Ahmed’s murder are not known yet; but the sources say that this former soldier was arrested by the Taliban group at night and then killed.
Meanwhile, Rahmatullah Andar, the spokesman of the National Security Council of the previous government, said that members of the Taliban group had arrested this former officer in the 10th district of Kandahar.
He wrote in X social media that the body of Khalil Ahmad Akhlaqi, the son of Dostum Khan from Zhari district of Kandahar province, was found with his neck cut and stab wounds on his body.
According to him, Khalil Ahmad lived in “Ainu Mina” town of Kandahar province and “was threatened several times by the Taliban in the 10th district.”
However, the local officials of the Taliban group denied these claims and said that the forces of this group found Khalil Ahmad while he was injured in the area of Ainu Mina and transferred him to the hospital. Nevertheless, he died there.
The Taliban group has named the reason for the killing of this soldier of the former government as “family enmity”.
It should be mentioned that since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, dozens of soldiers of the previous government have been mysteriously killed in different parts of the country.
Human rights institutions have always blamed the Taliban group for killing the soldiers of the previous government.
