The news of Mr. Badri’s injury was published yesterday morning by local media in a traffic incident on the Herat to Kandahar highway.

The Central Bank of Afghanistan, under the control of the Taliban group, confirmed the news of Hedayatullah Badri’s injury in a newsletter last night on September 1 and said that Badri’s injury is superficial and his health is “reliable.”

According to the Central Bank of the Taliban group, Mr. Badri “has been treated and will soon return to his duties.”

In a newsletter of this bank, it is stated that the driver of Mr. Badri was killed in this traffic incident that happened.

According to the sources of the Taliban group, Badri was transferred to Kandahar after this incident.

It should be mentioned that Hedayatullah Badri is one of the well-known commanders of the Taliban group. Previously, he was busy performing his duties as the Minister of Finance of the Taliban group.

It should be noted that before this, SIGAR said in a report that the Central Bank of Afghanistan is an institution affiliated with the Taliban group and its activities are affected by the orders of this group.

This institution said that due to the rule of the Taliban group in this bank; its affairs are facing problems and gaps.

According to the information of this United States supervisory organization, this investigation shows that, the Central Bank of Afghanistan is not independent from the administration of the Taliban group and does not have sufficient protective measures against money laundering and terrorist financing.
