RASC: Japan’s representative in the United Nations criticized the restrictions of the Taliban group against women and girls in Afghanistan at the meeting of the Security Council of this organization.

Ishikan Kimihero has said that the Taliban group should be forced to take their policy in a direction that is favorable to the people of Afghanistan.

He said that meetings such as the recent Doha Summit on Afghanistan hosted by the United Nations, “must continue in order to pursue a tolerant and pragmatic interaction with the Taliban group, to force them to move their policies in a direction that is favorable to the people of Afghanistan and to the benefit of the Taliban.”

According to the representative of Japan, the restrictions imposed by the Taliban group on women have also affected humanitarian aid.

This Japanese diplomat called the situation in Afghanistan particularly dire for women and girls and asked the Taliban to listen to the voice of the Security Council.

The meeting of the United Nations Security Council, which was held to examine the situation in Afghanistan in the presence of all its members, all the member countries of this council condemned the misogynistic, ethnic and religious policies of the Taliban group and asked this group to respect the human rights situation and respect the rights of women.
