RASC News Agency: The leadership of the Taliban group has given up on announcing a public holiday on the occasion of the withdrawal of the last American soldier from Afghanistan.

The leaders of the Taliban group declared the August 31 as a “public holiday” months ago, but the leadership of this group recently canceled this decision.

In a letter, the general directorate of the Taliban group asked the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs under the administration of this group to “suspend” the public holiday on the August 31 on the occasion of the departure of the last American soldier from Afghanistan.

Referring to the decision of this public holiday, Noorul Haq Anwar, head of the Taliban group’s affairs department, wrote in this letter that according to the order of the “leadership”, the public holiday will be suspended due to the departure of the last American soldier and the rest of the leave will be the same as last year.

In this letter, the leadership of the Taliban group has ordered that a public holiday is enough to commemorate the group’s domination of Kabul.

The Taliban group celebrates August 15 as the day of domination over Afghanistan.

Last year, the Taliban group had declared the August 31 as a public holiday, and the members and supporters of this group took to the streets with weapons and military vehicles and celebrated this day.

Last year, the leaders of the Taliban celebrated this day by holding a special ceremony and a military parade at Bagram Airfield.

Sources from within the Taliban group told the “Afghanistan International” media that the Taliban group was supposed to celebrate this day by raising the group’s flag near the gate of the Ministry of Defense. However, this ceremony was not held.

In addition, the leaders of this group have ordered that the officials of National TV refrain from talking and reporting about the departure of the last American soldier from Afghanistan.

A number of political experts say that the Taliban group is trying to strengthen relations with America by canceling the public holiday on this day.
