RASC: Local sources in Faryab province say that the intelligence director of the Taliban group in Khyber district of this province has shot a civilian.

Sources say that this event took place on Monday night, May 15, in the village of Tigan in the newly established Khyber district in Faryab.

It is said that the civilian who was shot was named Shukrullah and was shot by Qari Zubair, the intelligence director of the Taliban group in Khyber district, near his house at night.

Relatives of Shukrullah claim that Zakir Pahlawan, the brother of person who was shot, had a verbal argument with a tribal elder in Khyber district yesterday.

According to them, after this incident, by paying a large amount of money to Qari Zubair, he demanded the punishment of Shukrullah and his brother.

Meanwhile, the Taliban group in Faryab province confirmed the shooting of Shukrullah and considered it the work of unknown armed men.

In less than a month, 8 incidents of killing civilians by unknown people have been recorded in Faryab province.

The Taliban group has not yet arrested the perpetrators of any of these events.
