RASC: The general traffic department of the Taliban group in Kabul province warned the drivers and said that this department will stop the license of cars that lead to air pollution in the city.
On Sunday, July 30, the Kabul Traffic Department issued a notice that in order to prevent air pollution and increase of diseases; it has asked the drivers and owners of cars that produce too much smoke to repair their vehicles as soon as possible.
In an announcement of this department, it is stated that if the owners of cars with technical problems do not repair their vehicles by the specified time by the joint committee, their vehicles will be stopped and the driving license of these types of cars will be taken away until their vehicles are repaired.
Smoke from vehicles is said to be one of the main causes of air pollution in Kabul city.
According to the researchers, old cars with more smoke, because they burn raw oil, instead of producing carbon dioxide, they produce carbon monoxide, which is also called silent death, and inhaling this gas causes dangerous diseases such as abortion, severe heart diseases, and respiratory diseases. It is one of the complications that humans suffer from inhaling carbon monoxide gas.
Accurate and regular notification about air pollution and publication of a daily report of changes in polluted particles in Kabul’s air by the Environment Department can be one of the programs that can be implemented to reduce air pollution so that the citizens of Kabul, knowing the amount of air pollution, are aware of the amount of dangers.
