RASC News Agency: At the same time as two years since the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban group, a number of Afghanistani journalists who went to Iran due to security threats expressed their concern about their fate.

They said in a protest gathering on Tuesday, August 15, that the countries of the world, especially France, are watching the gradual death of Afghanistani journalists in exile.

Some of these journalists stated that some European countries, especially France, had promised to accept them, but they have not yet taken any action regarding their evacuation.

They asked the countries and institutions supporting the media and journalists to evacuate them from this country as soon as possible.

It should be noted that displacement, unclear future, non-extension of visas, economic problems and the risk of being deported to Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group are among the reasons that some of these journalists have faced severe psychological pressure.

This is despite the fact that after the fall of Kabul by the Taliban group, a large number of citizens, especially human rights and media activists, employees of foreign institutions, artists, scholars and many elites of the country, left the country for various reasons.

Meanwhile, the Taliban group has imposed many restrictions on the activities of the media and the work of journalists since their domination of the country, and in most cases, they have arrested and tortured them.

According to the reports, women, girls and the media are among the main victims of violence and repressive acts of the Taliban group during the two years of this group’s rule over the country.

Women and girls are deprived of their most basic rights and the foundation of freedom of expression has also been shaken in Afghanistan under the control of this group.
