RASC News Agency: On the third anniversary of the Taliban’s resurgence in Afghanistan, the National Resistance Front (NRF) issued a statement warning that the continued presence of the Taliban in the country constitutes a profound threat to neighboring nations and the broader region. According to the statement released on Thursday, August 15, the NRF stressed that over the past three years, the Taliban’s illegitimate rule in Afghanistan has been marked by widespread human rights violations and the proliferation of extremist ideologies.
The NRF further emphasized that the Taliban’s establishment of radical religious schools and the relocation of terrorist groups within Afghanistan have imperiled the country’s relations with its neighbors and regional states. The statement reads: “The Taliban’s usurpation of power has catalyzed the formation of various military, political, and civil movements, including active women’s movements, both within Afghanistan and abroad, committed to resisting this oppressive regime.”
The National Resistance Front underscored the critical importance of continuing the struggle against the Taliban, noting that in recent days, the NRF has intensified its assaults on Taliban positions across various provinces in the country. Previously, the Association of Afghanistani Diplomats had also declared that the Taliban’s illegitimate control over Afghanistan would lead to severe security threats within the region and beyond.
It is noteworthy that numerous reports indicate that under Taliban rule, more than 20 terrorist groups have established and are actively operating educational centers within Afghanistan.
