RASC News Agency: Today, Tuesday, August 15, is equal to the second year of the fall of the republican system and the re-establishment of the Taliban group in Afghanistan.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban group, on Tuesday, August 15, called this day the day of Afghanistan’s liberation from occupation on his Twitter page.

Mujahid said in his tweet: “Congratulations to all our dear compatriots on the second anniversary of the country’s liberation from occupation.”

On the other hand, Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban group, also wrote in a tweet that August 15 is the establishment of the Islamic system and the result of the 20-years struggle of the Taliban group.

He added: “Keep the spirit of sacrifice and jihad alive.”

Meanwhile, the majority of the country’s citizens remember the day when Kabul fell to the hands of the Taliban group as a black day in the modern history of Afghanistan.

According to the statements of a number of Afghanistani users on social media, two years ago on this day, people’s lives were darkened for the second time by a group based on a deal behind closed doors.

It is said that the return of the Taliban group to power in Afghanistan has led to extensive political and security challenges.

The Taliban group has taken over the government of Afghanistan and has all the available forces at its disposal, but still they have been unable to contain the crises.

Concerns about human rights and civil liberties, the status of women, and social gains are at stake.

Likewise, international concerns about terrorism, regional security and migration have intensified.

The formation of a stable and acceptable government for the domestic and foreign society remains as a major challenge.

It is said that the political situation in Afghanistan after the return of the Taliban group to power is still full of points of concern and requires the attention of the international community and joint efforts to solve the issues and create stability and peace in this country.

It is worth noting those two years ago, on this day, Kabul was handed over to the Taliban group for the second time after the escape of then President Ashraf Ghani.
