At the same time, the office of the United States Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) told the Congress in its recent report that the Taliban group is abusing the US and United Nations aid to Afghanistan and the interference of the members of the Taliban group in humanitarian aid has caused the aid to the needy do not reach.

He said: “It is reprehensible that American taxpayers’ money lines the pockets of terrorist groups like the Taliban a group that persecutes women and girls, funds Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups, commits atrocities against religious minorities, and he commits numerous violations of human rights on a daily basis.
“Unfortunately, as I sit here today, I cannot assure this committee and the American taxpayers that we are currently we do not finance the Taliban.”
After the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, the international community stopped its direct aid due to the fear of these aids being in the hands of the Taliban.
